In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:1 (Y. Ali) By the Night as it conceals (the light);
92:1 (Picktall) By the night enshroudingTafseer Ibn Kasir
92:2 (Y. Ali) By the Day as it appears in glory;
92:2 (Picktall) And the day resplendentTafseer Ibn Kasir
92:3 (Y. Ali) By (the mystery of) the creation of male and female;-
92:3 (Picktall) And Him Who hath created male and female,Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:4 (Y. Ali) Verily, (the ends) ye strive for are diverse.
92:4 (Picktall) Lo! your effort is dispersed (toward divers ends).Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:5 (Y. Ali) So he who gives (in charity) and fears ((Allah)),
92:5 (Picktall) As for him who giveth and is dutiful (toward Allah)Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:6 (Y. Ali) And (in all sincerity) testifies to the best,-
92:6 (Picktall) And believeth in goodness;Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:7 (Y. Ali) We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Bliss.
92:7 (Picktall) Surely We will ease his way unto the state of ease.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:8 (Y. Ali) But he who is a greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient,
92:8 (Picktall) But as for him who hoardeth and deemeth himself independent,Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:9 (Y. Ali) And gives the lie to the best,-
92:9 (Picktall) And disbelieveth in goodness;Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:10 (Y. Ali) We will indeed make smooth for him the path to Misery;
92:10 (Picktall) Surely We will ease his way unto adversity.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:11 (Y. Ali) Nor will his wealth profit him when he falls headlong (into the Pit).
92:11 (Picktall) His riches will not save him when he perisheth.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:12 (Y. Ali) Verily We take upon Ourselves to guide,
92:12 (Picktall) Lo! Ours it is (to give) the guidanceTafseer Ibn Kasir
92:13 (Y. Ali) And verily unto Us (belong) the End and the Beginning.
92:13 (Picktall) And lo! unto Us belong the latter portion and the former.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:14 (Y. Ali) Therefore do I warn you of a Fire blazing fiercely;
92:14 (Picktall) Therefor have I warned you of the flaming FireTafseer Ibn Kasir
92:15 (Y. Ali) None shall reach it but those most unfortunate ones
92:15 (Picktall) Which only the most wretched must endure,Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:16 (Y. Ali) Who give the lie to Truth and turn their backs.
92:16 (Picktall) He who denieth and turneth away.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:17 (Y. Ali) But those most devoted to Allah shall be removed far from it,-
92:17 (Picktall) Far removed from it will be the righteousTafseer Ibn Kasir
92:18 (Y. Ali) Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification,
92:18 (Picktall) Who giveth his wealth that he may grow (in goodness),Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:19 (Y. Ali) And have in their minds no favour from anyone for which a reward is expected in return,
92:19 (Picktall) And none hath with him any favor for reward,Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:20 (Y. Ali) But only the desire to seek for the Countenance of their Lord Most High;
92:20 (Picktall) Except as seeking (to fulfil) the purpose of his Lord Most High.Tafseer Ibn Kasir
92:21 (Y. Ali) And soon will they attain (complete) satisfaction.
